I could've gone on a date with Jessica Alba, but I didn't want to miss an episode of The Simpsons.

I could've traded in my Casio for a Cartier, but I liked the stopwatch on the Casio too much.

The Dodgers could've traded for Carlos Beltran, but they didn't want to give up Guillermo Mota.

WHAT???

Something about that report (on ESPN.com) doesn't sound right. There had to be more to it than, "We didn't want to part with Guillermo Mota." There HAD to be something more....... right?

"Our game is to try to shut down the opposition after the sixth inning," said Dodgers manager Jim Tracy. "And Mota is too big a part of our club."

Umm.
