I don't always like his work, especially the off-base stories he's written about the Dodgers and Paul Depodesta the last couple of years, but there aren't a lot of columnists today who are as interesting and vivid with their allotted 1,000 words as Bill Plaschke.

I really liked the one he wrote today for the L.A. Times about Tiger Woods's British Open victory. Check it out when you get a chance.
