The top scorers in the NBA, ranked by points scored per 40 minutes (actual minutes per game in parentheses):

1. Amare Stoudemire (36.2), 28.7
2. Allen Iverson (42.2), 28.2
3. Jermaine O'Neal (36.1), 28.0
4. Dirk Nowitzki (39.8), 27.2
5. Kobe Bryant (41.9), 26.3
6. Shaquille O'Neal (34.5), 26.3
7. Ben Gordon (23.1), 25.2
8. Vince Carter (35.6), 25.1
9. Gilbert Arenas (42.0), 25.0
10. Dwyane Wade (39.2), 24.4
Tim Duncan (35.1), 24.4

If there's a player in the NBA who deserves more playing time this season -- and by more playing time I mean 30-35 minutes and moving from sixth man to starter -- it's Ben Gordon. Not only because he's such an awesome scorer, but because the player who's stealing a good chunk of his minutes right now, Chris Duhon, would probably have trouble cracking an NBDL roster.

Duhon's arguably one of the league's 10 most worthless players and really has no business playing 24.6 minutes a night, let alone having the starter's role over Gordon.

(Note: Ben Gordon is not on my fantasy team.)
