I'm not ashamed to admit this, man. I'm still a little choked up after witnessing the death of Edgar Stiles in "24." That was real sad how they made him die. Stumbling toward one of the rooms that was locked down, only to find that the CTU members couldn't let him in; staring into the teary eyes of his pal Chloe; then slowly collapsing to his death as the syntox nerve gas penetrated his nervous system. It was such a sad scene that the writers decided not to ruin the moment with the sound of the familiar "tick-tock-tick-tock" byte that closes out every episode. Almost sad enough to make me forget that Jack Bauer pulled another Jack Bauer in this episode and popped a cap in Robocop's wife's right thigh, because Robocop wouldn't tell Jack what he needed to know.

Almost.

I'm still a little too rattled to remember what this week's rendition of Ezekiel 25:17 was. Something like: "I shot her above her knee cap! But if you don't tell me what I need to know now, I WILL put your wife in a wheelchair for the rest of her life!"

This show rules.
