Congratulations to the Seattle Storm on winning the 2004 WNBA Championship. It was a fierce, hard-fought best-of-three series, but the Storm gutted it out like the champions they are.
According to the Associated Press's game recap today:
"The Storm claimed the city's first major professional sports championship in 25 years, going back to the SuperSonics winning the 1979 NBA title."
FACT CHECK, PLEASE!
Umm..... women's basketball is a major professional sport?
Excuse me, but when in the hell did this happen?
The major professional sports in America are baseball, football, men's basketball, and maybe hockey. Everything else is backpage news.
Sorry, Seattle.
And nice try, AP.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read your recap. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
