Adventure, in my world, is spotting the word 'irony' in a story when it's really just a coincidence or an interesting tidbit.

Howard Stern on Beyonce:
"From the waist up, she is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. From the waist down, she's a linebacker. She's Earl Campbell."

Gentlemen, your thoughts......

If you've ever seen Jesper Parnevik, you know that golfers aren't always the hippest people when it comes to fashion. So I'm usually inclined to give them a pass when I see them out in public, looking like a bunch of dorks, as out of place as Lisa Guerrero in the old roundtable discussions on The Best Damn Sports Show.
But, since the golfer I'm about to trash right now happens to be a Stanford grad..... I'm sorry. You, Tiger Woods, do not get a pass.

I wonder if his agent told him to go with the backwards-hat look. I'm guessing it was. You know Tiger was looking at himself in the mirror before he left for the game and thought, 'Man, this is HIP-HOP,' followed by a wink and a hand pistol to self. What a dork.

(I was thinking about giving the Stanford basketball team some recognition here instead, but that would make about as much sense as me praising Linda Cohn as the best sports anchor in America. I'd rather swim in goat piss.)

Watching Ruben Brown in yesterday's Pro Bowl really got me juiced. I mean I was PUMPED UP for football after watching that guy represent my Bills on national TV. The way he blocked the defensive linemen and used his strength and agility to protect his quarterback -- wow, what a thrill.
I honestly don't know what the MVP voters were thinking. Ruben Brown's performance was so much more exciting than Marc Bulger's, or Marvin Harrison's, or Torry Holt's, or Shaun Alexander's.
I mean, who cares about passing or catching or running? That's not what makes football exciting. Blocking's where all the action's at.

Sigh.
